MCBC DIRT FONDO 2018

Marin Headlands

The Marin County Bicycle Coalition's 7th annual Dirt Fondo will take place on Aug. 18, raising funds for its Off-Road Program. This all-day 45-mile off-road bike ride starts in the Marin Headlands and has several turn back options for shorter rides. The day ends with a barbecue at the starting point in the Headlands. SPINNING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Beyond Differences and SoulCycle MRIN are hosting a summer spin benefit in support of Beyond Differences on Aug. 19, 1-2:30 p.m., at the SoulCycle Studio at the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur. MUSIC FOR MOUNT TAMALPAIS

Sound Summit, a concert featuring Herbie Hancock, Grace Potter, Bob Weir, Nikki Lane and Con Brio, will take place on Sept. 8, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., at the Mountain Theater in Mount Tamalpais State Park. The event produced by Roots & Branches Conservancy will benefit the Mount Tamapais State Park. Tickets are $110 for adults, $55 for youth 12 and under, and children two and under are free. Tickets are available at soundsummit.net.

TEDDY BEAR TEA AT BOOK PASSAGE

Prison Arts Touching Hearts is presenting A Teddy Bear Tea themed event on September 9, 3-4:30 p.m., at Book Passage in Corte Madera, to raise funds to purchase teddy bears to give to children of incarcerated individuals. DIPSEA HIKE FOR ZERO BREAST CANCER
