CVNL 25th HEART OF MARIN AWARDS

On January 11th , nearly 700 nonprofit leaders, volunteers, elected officials, and business members filled the Marin Center to celebrate Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership’s (CVNL) 25th Annual Heart of Marin Awards. With support of sponsors, $35,000 was awarded to dedicated nonprofits and leaders who provide programs and services in Marin. This year a special presentation recognized the heroic and dedicated work of volunteers and agencies providing support to those impacted by the North Bay fires.
For 25 years, CVNL has honored the dedicated nonprofit organizations, volunteers, staff, and board members who provide vital services in Marin County. “Recognizing the people and organizations that serve our community is one of the best ways we can make sure they are thanked for their extraordinary work, and serves as an inspiration for all of us,” said Linda Jacobs, CEO of CVNL. “It is truly a privilege to produce this event each year, and our 25th Anniversary event was once again moving and encouraging.”
Awards were given for Corporate Community Service (sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Bregante + Company, LLP), Excellence in Board Leadership (sponsored by EO Products and College of Marin), Volunteer of the Year (sponsored by Redwood Credit Union), Excellence in Leadership (sponsored by Marin Community Foundation), Youth Volunteer of the Year (sponsored by Bank of Marin), Excellence in Innovation (sponsored by International ProInsurance and Pacific Union), Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence (sponsored by Nugget Markets), and Lifetime Achievement (sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, San Rafael). Union Bank once again served as the Event Sponsor. Learn more at cvnl.org.
