BENEFITS FOR BIKING, HIGHER ED

Trips for Kids Marin’s 30th anniversary gala took place at the Mill Valley Community Center on Oct. 19. More than 170 guests attended, raising more than $50,000. Venee McGee, a former Trips for Kids Marin trail ride participant, shared her Trips for Kids’ memories with the gala crowd.

The Sausalito Woman’s Club Scholarship Recognition Fund performances of “Life is a Cabaret … So what could go wrong?” on Nov. 2 and 3 raised more than $20,000 that will go to deserving scholars in the Sausalito Marin City area. The show was written, directed, and produced by the local duo of Linda and Roland Ojeda, and included a cast of twenty-five performers headlined by Noah Griffin of the Cole Porter Society, and musical director, Andy Dudnick. The show, “Life is a Cabaret … So what could go wrong?” featured an array of musical numbers, comedy routines and dancers, including The Jazzettes who tapped their way through “All That Jazz.”

More than 200 audience members hooted and hollered throughout the two sold-out shows that raised funds that will go directly to students living in the Sausalito Marin City area to help them pursue their higher education goals.
