The SF-Marin Food Bank provides more than 100,000 meals each day to those in need. Monetary and food donations are welcomed year round. Holiday food donations can be made at various locations throughout the county (look for the donation barrels) and at Town Center Corte Madera at the giant turkey. The most needed food items include tuna, chicken and salmon in pop-top cans or tear-open pouches, canned meats, low sodium stews and nut butters. Donations will be collected through December 31. Members of the Rotary Club of San Rafael gave presents to children in San Rafael’s Canal area. The annual gift distribution took place on Dec. 16 at Al J. Boro Community Center . The event was held in collaboration with the San Rafael Elementary School District. On Dec. 14, Marin Girls Chorus presented its 32nd annual Holiday Concert at First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo.
