Sparkle Foundation Inc. holds an annual fundraising holiday gift drive. In addition, the Novato-based organization has been donating backpacks filled with school supplies to kids in need in Marin County and other Northern California cities and counties. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions on large crowd gatherings, Sparkle Foundation Executive Director Samantha Tradelius (above), with the help of her two young daughters, spent 10 days preparing 1,500 backpacks for donation.
The backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed in San Rafael and Novato and other areas in Northern California. Pictured (above, top) are San Francisco Police Department Capt.
