The Giving Marin Community Partnership held a picnic event at Halleck Creek Ranch in Nicasio on Sept. 29 to bring together the program’s Partners and representatives of some of the organizations that were awarded Giving Marin grants for their work in 2020. Grant recipients (left to right) Community Action Marin Executive Director Chandra Alexandre, Gilead House Executive Director Carrie Scrimshire and Executive Assistant Jenny Craig, and Sparkle Foundation Inc. founder and Executive Director Samantha Tradelius spoke to the group about how the grant money helped their organizations during the pandemic.
Halleck Creek Ranch, led by Executive Director Molly Scannell, hosted the group, including a tour of the ranch that provides therapy horseback riding for people of all ages who have disabilities.
