SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS CONCERT COMING May 1

For more than 80 years, Marin Music Chest has supported promising students studying classical music with annual scholarship awards and concert performance opportunities. Marin Music Chest will presents its annual “Scholarship Winners Concert” on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the First Prebyterian Church of San Anselmo. It will feature solo performances by nine young classical musicians honored with 2022 Marin Music Chest Scholarship awards.

   Marin Music Chest, a nonprofit organization staffed by an all-volunteer board and artistic council with professional backgrounds in music, has been dedicated to fostering a greater interest and appreciation of classical music in Marin since 1933. In 1934, the Music Chest awarded its first scholarship and since then more than 500 scholarships totalling over $1 million have been awarded.
