The Marin Country Club Women’s Association hosted its annual charity golf tournament on July 14, raising $40,000 for Okizu. Okizu provides peer support programs for children and families affected by childhood cancer based on the community-forming nature of a residential camp experience. Marin Country Club in Novato has hosted this annual event since 2000.
“Each year, we select a cause that supports women or children in the North Bay and Okizu was a perfect fit,” said Kristine Jones, tournament chair. “This was the most successful event we’ve had and we were thrilled at the amount of the donation we were able to make.”
