Walking Mirrors is a local rock group whose mission is simple: give back to the community. And the band’s mission statement, “Connecting to the community through live music,” reflects that — proceeds from every show support a different Marin-based nonprofit.
“Walking Mirrors is a culmination of a life path. Business, entrepreneurship, leadership, philanthropy and music,“ said lead singer/songwriter and founder Mark Nelson.
The band’s 2022 Sweetwater Music Hall, Hopmonk Novato and Rancho Nicasio shows directly benefit Sweetwater Music Hall, Bridge the Gap College Prep and Nicasio Volunteer Fire Department.
“Mark Nelson is a long-time supporter of Bread & Roses and a former board chair. His son, guitarist Aidan Nelson, is a former intern and volunteer host for Bread & Roses. We look forward to working with them in 2023,” said Marian Hubler, vice president of communications and producer of Bread & Roses Presents.
