Two Marin-based companies have joined the Giving Marin Community Partnership as Sponsors — City Carpets and Northern Pacific Roofing.
City Carpets is locally owned and operated and has provided flooring for thousands of homes and businesses in the Bay Area for the last 30 years.
“I was raised and have lived in Marin my entire life. It’s also where I met my husband, where we chose to raise our kids and start our own business 30 years ago,” said Leigh Bakhitiari, president and owner of City Carpets. “Giving back to the community has always been something my husband and I enjoy doing, but it can also be really difficult as a small mom and pop business. There are only so many hours and dollars that can be shared!”
Being part of Giving Marin allows City Carpets to partner with other key Marin-based, like-minded businesses to work together and support the nonprofits in our community.

Northern Pacific Roofing returns as a Sponsor in 2023. They have been the local choice for a roofing contractor in the North Bay with locations in Petaluma and San Rafael for over 20 years.
