Two thousand fourth-grade students from more than 30 schools across Marin County came together on March 20 at the Marin Center Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium to experience a classical symphony concert.
The 55-minute performance featured the Marin Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Alasdair Neale, playing family-friendly classics. Radio personality David Latulippe served as the narrator and Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition winner Jessi Chi, a senior at San Marin High School, performed Arutunian’s Trumpet Concerto.
The event, returning after being on hold for two years, was sponsored by the Marin Community Foundation, Rotary clubs of Mission San Rafael and Central Marin, the Koret Foundation and the Lakeview Foundation.
