The Mt. Tam Quilt Guild enjoyed a successful day at the Marin Senior Fair on Sept. 7. With more than 80 quilts on display, the group also sold more than 100 of their homemade items including potholders, cell phone pouches and bracelets. The group also walked away with the fair’s top booth prize, Best Overall Booth.
“We had many, many compliments and it really made the place look beautiful,” said guild member Joy Troyer.
The Mt. Tam Quilt Guild promotes an interest in, and appreciation of, the art of quilt making. Its members create quilts for those in need and distribute them through various nonprofits in Marin. For more information, visit mtqg.org
