10,000 Degrees, an organization dedicated to empowering students to enter and graduate college in eight Bay Area counties and Utah, announced it has partnered with the Equinix Foundation to help support 10,000 Degrees college success programs in the Bay Area.
The Equinix Foundation, launched in 2022 by Redwood City.-based Equinix Inc., is providing 10,000 Degrees with a $30,000 three-year grant to support 10,000 Degrees programming and assistance for students from low-income backgrounds in the Bay Area. Additionally, the Equinix Foundation will engage 10,000 Degrees students by promoting internship opportunities and participating in 10,000 Degrees community and learning events.
“We’re thrilled that 10,000 Degrees was selected by the Equinix Foundation as one of its first partners and grantees, supporting us in all pillars of our corporate partnership model: philanthropy, volunteering and career development. We’re certain 10,000 Degrees will greatly benefit from their engagement and commitment to our students,” said Kim Mazzuca, 10,000 Degrees president and CEO. “10,000 Degrees is on a mission to achieve educational equity by supporting students from low-income backgrounds to realize their full potential, and thanks to the Equinix Foundation’s generous support, we will be able to provide Bay Area students with even more life-changing opportunities.”
