The Sausalito-Sakaide Sister City program is a student exchange between the cities of Sausalito and Sakaide, Japan to promote and expand cross- cultural relationships, promote world peace and cultural understanding by building relationships and implementing rewarding programs with the connected communities.
This year, the group will send 12 high school delegates from Marin County to Sakaide from July 26-Aug. 7 to experience cultural experiences in a homestay exchange program. The program is for anyone interested in learning more about Japan, the world, international relations, making new friends, practicing language skills or just those looking to broaden their horizons.
