ROTARY OF IGNACIO DISTRIBUTES DICTIONARIES

The Rotary Club of Ignacio distributed more than 60 new picture hard-back dictionaries to three classes of third graders at Loma Verde Elementary School in Novato on March 8. The program is part of a 20-year project in conjunction with two other Novato Rotary clubs that benefits all third graders in both private and public schools in Novato. Novato Charter School and Hamilton Elementary were also dictionary recipients.
The dictionary purchase of about $2,000 is made through local Rotary International Foundation donations from the club. A portion (about half) come back to the club as District Designated Funds to be used for local and international community service and educational projects.
