Marin County Cooperation Team, a 2023 Giving Marin grant recipient, will host Diabetes Awareness Day on April 23 from 3-7 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Marin City.
As the lead agency for the Southern Marin Community Response Team since 2021, MCCT’s work originally focused on COVID-19. The group is expanding capacity and infrastructure in collaboration with local health partners to ensure equitable support for vulnerable communities.
Giving Marin founding Partner Kaiser Permanente will partner MCCT on this community-driven event which aims to raise awareness about diabetes. The event will provide free diabetes testing, and information about prevention and management. For more information and to RSVP, visit tinyurl.com/mt3x5u64.
