10,000 Degrees, the San Rafael-based organization dedicated to unlocking success at scale by giving more students equitable opportunities for a college education and career success, held its annual “ONE Amazing Community” fundraiser gala on April 27 at the Marin Civic Center Exhibit Hall in San Rafael. The gala raised over $1.1 million to support students and programs in all eight Bay Area counties that 10,000 Degrees serves.
More than 500 guests came together at the gala to celebrate and recognize those who have played a role in helping achieve educational equity and support students from low-income backgrounds to become college graduates.
Kim Mazzuca, 10,000 Degrees president and CEO, was honored with the ONE DEGREE
of Change award at this year’s gala. Mazzuca was recognized for her 25th anniversary at the organization and for her contributions to education equity in the Bay Area and beyond.
