ROTARY DAY OF SERVICE ROOTS FLOWERING PLANTS

More than 30 Rotarians spend May 5 beautifying the Marin Center Exhibit Hall entrance.

On May 5, Rotary District 5150 celebrated Rotary Day of Service with more than 30 Rotarians from Marin County and Rotary Club for Global Action by planting drought resistant flowering plants to help beautify the Marin Center Exhibit Hall entrance.

Marin County Parks provided coffee and pastries. The group dug holes, mixed and transported soil, put down 5-gallon gopher bulb wire cages and planted 75 plants. Work continued with weeding and sweeping the planting area and the front of the Exhibit Hall. Kirk Schroeder of Marin County Parks coordinated the event.
