The Mt. Tam Quilt Guild enjoyed a successful day at the Marin Senior Fair on Sept. 18. With over 50 quilts on display, the guild also sold more than 250 homemade items including potholders, cell phone pouches,
holiday items and wine carriers. Guild members held a demonstration showing attendees how quilts are made, and distributed information about the guild to those interested in joining. The guild’s presence at the fair draws many repeat customers who come to enjoy the show and purchase items from the booth. The Mt. Tam Quilt Guild promotes an interest in, and the appreciation of the art of quilt making. Its members
create quilts for those in need and distribute them through nonprofits in Marin.
