The Rotary Club of Novato Sunrise’s 11th annual Oktoberfest on Oct. 19 raised much needed local and international funds. German food, music and dance was highlighted by a wine auction, cash drawing, silent and live auctions, and more.
According to organizers, the event netted more than $50,000 — $10,000 of which will go to Lynwood Elementary School’s Dual Immersion Program and be used to purchase quality books in Spanish for classroom libraries. The remainder of the funds raised will go to support other local and international projects.
