CARE PACKAGES ON WAY TO TROOPS

Blue Star Moms of Marin coordinated care packages for troops with members of the Marin chapter of the National League of Young Men at the group’s March meeting. Volunteers donated the items and wrote notes of appreciation that went into the 50 boxes of high-quality food and treats that will be shipped to troops overseas.

The Marin chapter of the Blue Star Moms’ mission is to support troops, their families and veterans by working with local youth and adult service groups, schools and individuals, whose support makes these programs possible.

The boxes cost more than $20 each to send to their military destinations. The Blue Star Moms is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization of mothers and friends of active duty military and veterans.
