MARIN HISTORY MUSEUM ANNIVERSARY GALA CELEBRATES 26 IMPACTFUL WOMEN

The Marin History Museum marked its 90th anniversary with a sold-out gala on March 30 at the Mill Valley Community Center. The event was attended by more than 225 supporters, raising more than $200,000 in support of museum programming. The celebration also marked the museum’s inaugural Marin History Museum Class of 2025 “Extraordinary Women of Marin,” each honored for their contributions to the community. The recipients:

Anne Aversa – president, Outdoor Art Club, owner, La Ginestra • Berta Campos Anicetti – former director, Latine Programs at North Marin Community Services • Jill Giacomini Basch, Lynn Giacomini Stray and Diana Giacomini Hagan – co-CEOs of Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. • Mary Jane Burke – former Marin County superintendent of schools • Felecia Gaston – founder, Performing Stars of Marin and Marin City Historical and Preservation Society • Susan Gilardi – local philanthropist, board member of MarinHealth, donor of scholarships to Dominican University and 10,000 Degrees • Terrie Harris Green – executive director, Marin City Climate Resilience and Health Justice • Sandra Guldman – president, Friends of Corte Madera Creek Watershed, environmental advocate • Heidi Krahling – founder/owner, Insalata’s in San Anselmo • Heidi Kühn – founder of Roots for Peace, nominee for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize • Ann Mathieson – former board chair, Marin Community Foundation, former CEO, Marin Promise Partnership • Cheryl Paddack – CEO, North Marin Community Services • Christine Paquette – executive director, St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin • Nicola Pitchford – president, Dominican University • Melissa Prandi – PRANDI Property Management, community activist • Maria Socorro Romo – executive director, West Marin Community Services • Andrea Schultz – president and CEO, Greenbrae Management Inc., chair of the MarinHealth Operating Board, former chair of the MarinHealth Foundation • Mary Kay Sweeney – former director, Homeward Bound of Marin • Sushma Taylor – president and CEO, Center Point Inc. • Julia Violich – board member, Marin County Bicycle Coalition, environmental advocate, National Mountain Bike Development team head • Nikki N. The Marin History Museum is home to a collection of more than 25,000 artifacts, 200,000 historic photographs and volumes of county records.
