HOMEWARD BOUND GETS SCHOOL-READY

More than three dozen volunteers spent a weekend preparing a back-to-school sendoff for 135 kids from families at Homeward Bound of Marin. With support from Cigna Healthcare, every student received a new backpack filled with pencils, notebooks, highlighter pens and other items matched by the volunteers for age and grade. More early-bird helpers roved the aisles at Target in San Rafael, fulfilling wish lists for clothing with funds contributed by the Salvation Army.
