North Bay Children’s Center announced that founding Giving Marin Partner Redwood Credit Union has pledged $250,000 to NBCC’s Bright Futures Campaign, helping to complete the organization’s new state-of-the-art campus in Hamilton.
The investment aligns with the credit union’s longstanding commitment to strengthening the North Bay community. As part of the project, the Redwood Credit Union Outdoor Community Pavilion will serve as a gathering space for the children and their families, educators and community members. This multi-use area will be used for farm-to-table cooking demonstrations, culinary classes, garden science and nutrition education.
With this latest pledge, RCU’s total giving to NBCC since 2018 reaches $577,600, underscoring the organization’s ongoing investment in local children and families.

“Redwood Credit Union’s very generous contribution comes at a pivotal moment in our project,” said Susan Gilmore, NBCC’s founder and CEO. “With their support, we can complete this transformational project that will serve thousands of North Bay children and families for decades to come. Because of their longtime support and generous contribution, they turned a moment of challenge into one of historic opportunity — building not just a campus, but a legacy of equity, innovation and community strength.” RCU’s gift comes as NBCC works to raise the final $1 million needed to fully close the $12.5 million Bright Futures Capital Campaign. The nearly complete campus — over 90% built — has already garnered national attention for its design and purpose. The facility will replace aging classrooms, double childcare capacity to 176 children, and support NBCC’s 13 satellite sites throughout Marin and Sonoma counties. “Supporting the North Bay Children’s Center is an investment in our community, inspiring hope and building brighter futures,” said Brett Martinez, president and CEO of Redwood Credit Union. “Their work ensures that every child has access to quality early education and care. At Redwood Credit Union, we believe that strong communities start with strong foundations, and NBCC is helping build those every day.”
