In response to the San Rafael Canal district fire in August that displaced more than 50 residents and killed two people, the Rotary Club of Ignacio acted immediately to support the community. Club President Charley Vogt spearheaded a drive to purchase hundreds of dollars in gift cards and provided bagged lunches for fire victims which were distributed by St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin.
“The Ignacio Rotary Club is a consistent partner with St. Vincent de Paul Society, regularly providing more than 100 bagged lunches a month to Vinnie’s Free Dining Room, along with pallets of water for our hungry neighbors,” said Kathleen Woodcock, chief philanthropy officer at St. Vincent de Paul. “We are blessed and honored to have their partnership.”
