ROTARY EVENT BACKS NOVATO SCHOOLS

The Rotary Club of Ignacio presented its fourth annual BBQ, Brews, and Comedy event Sept. 20 at the Bill and Adele Jonas Center in Novato. Over $17,000 was raised to support the youth leadership programs of the Novato Unified School District. “We greatly appreciate the Rotary Club of Ignacio in supporting our efforts,” said Tracy Smith, superintendent of Novato Unified School District. The event broke previous fundraising records for both the live and silent auctions with 100% of the net proceeds from the event benefitting the Novato school district and local service programs.
