“This year the grant committee leaned in to fund basic human needs… a bed, a hand-up to cover someone’s rent, food for a small pantry for the county’s most vulnerable residents,” Rob Devincenzi, Marin Independent Journal publisher, told the crowd alongside Giving Marin Coordinator Sara Moseley. “It’s harder to learn as a student when you’re hungry, it’s hard to thrive when you don’t have a secure roof over your head. Marin is a community unlike any other for people who step up to help others. We are proud to play a small role in affecting change and to support these 11 nonprofits’ incredible missions.”

Matt Smyth of Marin Alano Club shares the impact of the grant on his organization.
