HALLECK CREEK RANCH REQUESTS VOLUNTEERS

Halleck Creek Ranch helps people with disabilities live a life without barriers through therapeutic horseback riding. Gentle horses are paired with volunteers that carry special riders through the West Marin countryside. Program volunteers work directly with the therapy horses and riders. VOLUNTEER WITH SUSTAINABLE MARIN

CALIFORNIA REENTRY PROGRAM NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

The California Reentry Program at San Quentin State Prison is a nonprofit, independent advising program that seeks to cover a wide array of future parolees’ needs including academic advising, referrals to housing resources, job advice/placement, child-support issues, and support groups. They provide one-on-one counseling with inmates who are paroling within the next few weeks, months and years to help assess their current needs, experience and interests, and support them in establishing a plan to achieve their goals once paroled. BREAD AND ROSES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Bread & Roses welcomes volunteer performers and hosts at its shows as well as office and event volunteers  year round.  The organization produces free, live music and entertainment for Bay Area children, teens, adults, and elders  who don’t have the ability to easily experience the power of the arts in any other way. LOVE IS THE ANSWER’S PET CONNECTION

Love is the Answer's Pet Connection Program provides opportunities for you and your pet to meet and visit with residents living in long-term care facilities in Marin.  This improves the quality of lives, provides comfort, helps to decrease loneliness and isolation.  Requirements are minimal:  An interview/orientation, pet evaluation, obedience and current immunizations, and an ability to commit to visits on a regular basis.  Visits can be made mornings or afternoons any day of the week.  Call (415) 472-5482 to set up an interview and orientation.

JESSICA’S HAVEN & RESCUE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

Jessica's Haven & Rescue rescues small dogs and gets them ready for adoption. The organization provides vocational and social opportunities for individuals with disabilities who help with getting the dogs ready for adoption. Volunteers are needed for a variety of opportunities, including bathing and walking the dogs, arts and crafts with the human clients and helping with office and facility chores.
