PRIDE PICNIC AT PIPER PARK, BREAD & ROSES BENEFIT

The Spahr Center hosted its second annual Pride Picnic on June 10 at Piper Park in Larkspur. The picnic was a celebration of Marin’s diverse inter-generational LGBTQ population. There were between 150 and 200 people in attendance in addition to many community partners and local organizations, including the Marin Chapter of the ACLU, the Marin Women’s Commission, Gay Pink Spots – LGBTQ directory, Huckleberry Youth Programs, the Center for Domestic Peace, Next Generation Foundation and Legal Aid Marin. The annual Spring benefit concert presented by Bread & Roses featured John Paul White and Marlon Williams Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. The
event raised money to support Bread & Roses' year round program that brings music to underserved communities in the Bay Area.
