$50,000+ FUNDING FOR NONPROFITS

The Giving Marin Community Partnership launched in January with a mission to raise exposure for 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that operate in Marin County. The partnership will present financial awards in December 2018 of no less than $10,000 each to five 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that serve Marin County.

Hard copy applications are available on weekdays at the front counter at Marin Independent Journal, 4000 Civic Center Drive, Suite 301, San Rafael, Calif. 94903. Applications must be received by Oct. 17, 2018 at 5 p.m.

The Giving Marin Founding Partners are College of Marin, CPi Developers, Fairview Capital, Ghilotti Bros. Inc, Kaiser Permanente, Mercedes-Benz of Marin, Nugget Markets, Redwood Credit Union and Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical, with special support from Marin Community Foundation and Marin Independent Journal. These partners underwrite advertising and exposure for approximately three dozen nonprofits every month through the program. FUNDS RAISED FOR FURRY & FEATHERED FRIENDS

 

WildCare’s 2018 gala raised over $300,000 and was its most successful gala ever! More than 270 people attended the sold out event at the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur Landing on Sept. 22.  Supporters of WildCare (top photo, from left) Lacey Houston, board member Linda Stiles, Rob Stiles, Shelley Ott, Bob Ott, Mark Root and Brandon Buza enjoyed the festivities.
