The 26th annual Heart of Marin Awards luncheon took place on Jan. 10 at the Marin Center Exhibit Hall in San Rafael. Non-profit leaders, organizations and volunteers were honored along with an award for corporate community service to a local business. Homeward Bound of Marin’s CEO Mary Kay Sweeney accepted the award for Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence from Chaunte Chastang of Nugget Markets, the award sponsor.
The award for Excellence in Leadership went to North Marin Community Services’ CEO Cheryl Paddack. The award goes to a leader whose vision has inspired meaningful and lasting change benefitting the organization and community.
The Heart of Marin Awards are a year in the making by CVNL with support from generous corporate donors.
