The Lifehouse Home For Life capital campaign kick-off party took place at the private Kentfield residence of Eric and Shelley Aans (pictured above with Lifehouse President and CEO Nancy Dow Moody on the left). Eric Aans is vice chairman of the Lifehouse board.
The five year capital campaign to raise $4.3 million started late last year with approximately $1 million already raised. The Point Blue Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon runs through Oct. 15. Volunteer counters identify as many bird species as possible in a 24-hour period. Teams are open to new members on Sept. 22 and Sept. 29. Supporters can donate to support a counter. Birders, nature enthusiasts, scientists and conservationists are raising funds for Point Blue’s science, conservation and education programs.
