BOWL, SPARKLE, GO WILD

Cedars’ annual “Shake, Rattle and Bowl” fundraiser on Aug. 22 was presented virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. The organization set a goal of raising $35,000 but ended up bringing in almost $51,000 from more than 400 donations. Gift bags that included a bowling shirt, a bowling game kit, decorations and a boxed lunch were delivered to the 108 participants. Participants chose a computer bowling game or the game provided by Cedars. Staff and participants and their families joined on Zoom for the event, making for an exciting experience.  -Photos courtesy of Cedars

The Sparkle Foundation partnered in August with Beauty Heroes, a women-owned Novato business, to launch a campaign to thank local teachers. “Sparkling our Heroes” gifted 300 educators with products donated from Beauty Heroes. Local high school students hand delivered the gifts bags to the schools.  -Photos courtesy of Sparkle Foundation

The WildCare annual gala went virtual on Aug. 29, featuring close-up encounters with live wildlife ambassadors like Pele the peregrine falcon, pictured with Ambassador Program Manager Melissa Tofflemoyer. Almost 200 people participated in the event that included a silent auction and raised  $230,000 to support the wildlife hospital and education programs.  -Photo courtesy of WildCare
