San Rafael Elks Lodge 1108 held its sixth annual “Festival for Food” outdoor benefit concert on May 23, raising $3,500 for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Elk members and other guests enjoyed a barbecue and live music on the Elks Maple Lawn Terrace. Local bands that donated their time and talent included Key Lime Pie (above, top) and Susan Z & Friends (above, bottom). Katy McKnight, director of Community Engagement at San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, said “Prior to the pandemic, one in five San Francisco and Marin residents was at risk of hunger. Now, the need is even greater with nearly twice as many families turning to us for support. Partners like San Rafael Elks Lodge 1108 who are finding innovative solutions to serve our neighbors and engage our community are critical. We are grateful for their support.” -Photos courtesy of Elks Lodge 1108
