SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TOP MUSICIANS

Marin Music Chest presented its annual “Scholarship Winners Concert” on June 6  featuring solo performances by 12 young classical musicians. They were selected to receive scholarships from earlier auditions juried by the Marin Music Chest’s Artistic Council. The concert showcased musical performances by scholarship award winners (top row, left to right) Natalie Oh, cello; Isabella O’Brien, flute; Michael Lu, piano; Tarek Elliott-Diab, piano; Alexandra Kiryakina, harp; Sydney Li-Jenkins, violin; Chris Boyadjiev, flute; Liam Martinez, flute; and (bottom row, left to right) Owen Xu, piano; Lorenzo Soleri, violin; and Caleb Liu, piano. The Salvation Army in Marin County celebrated National Donut Day on June 4 by delivering donuts to 69 first responder locations across Marin by The Salvation Army advisory board and Lts. David and Diane Shatto, including Sausalito, Marin City, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Corte Madera, Kentfield, Larkspur, Greenbrae, Ross, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Woodacre, Point Reyes, Petaluma, Tomales, San Rafael, Marinwood, Nicasio and Novato.
