MAKERSPACE, CAFE EXPAND AUTISTRY’S OFFERINGS

Under the Rainbow provides training for Autistry students.

  Autistry Studios, a 2022 Giving Marin grant recipient, recently opened Under the Rainbow, a coffee shop located in its downtown San Rafael makerspace. Managed by Double Rainbow Cafe, the coffee shop provides training opportunities for Autistry students including coffee-making and customer service. Also located in the new makerspace, The Autistry Makers Market sells products created by Autistry students. 

The makerspace also includes a market that sells products created by program students.

   “After 15 years quietly creating programs for the neurodivergent community, we are excited to join the San Rafael business community in this amazing downtown location,” said Janet Lawson, CEO/executive director of Autistry Studios. 

   The Autistry Maker Incubator is located at 850 Fourth St. in San Rafael. 

   Lawson will also host an author talk and book signing of her new book, “Share the Road: The Journey to Autistry,” at Book Passage in Corte Madera on July 15 at 11 a.m. For more information, visit autistrystudios.com.
