On Oct. 21, supporters, volunteers and board members of Resilient Neighborhoods gathered on the terrace of a net-zero energy home in the hills of Novato for a fundraiser and information session. Guests enjoyed climate-friendly food from Margarita’s Kitchen and Frankie and Jo’s Vegan Ice Cream and French-inspired jazz instrumentals by duo Duo Gadjo.

Attendees included Susan Hopp of Plastic Free Marin; Julia Reinhard, aide to Supervisor Mary Sackett; and state Assemblymember Damon Connolly, D-San Rafael. The event raised more than $25,000. The funds will allow Resilient Neighborhoods to continue to provide its climate education free of charge.
