What started as a single class 15 years ago is now a robust nutrition and cooking program serving seven counties throughout the Bay Area and touching the lives of more than 1,000 at-risk children each year.
Giving Marin grant recipient Kids Cooking for Life marked its 15th anniversary with an event in Mill Valley on Dec. 4. A variety of healthy food was prepared by KCL’s junior chefs. Jurnee Louder from Children Now gave a presentation about food inequity in the Bay Area.
“We’re excited to be envisioning all the change we can forge in the next 15 years,” said Lara Rajninger, Kids Cooking for Life executive director.
