Joy was in the air Feb. 8 as Marin Community Foundation hosted a gathering of community partners and donors to celebrate the success of the Joy Fund-MCF’s first end-of-year giving campaign.
Twenty-two longtime MCF partner organizations that provide safety-net services to people all across Marin each received $40,000 checks to support their operations. The celebration, held at Groundfloor in San Rafael, welcomed representatives from each of the recipient nonprofits, along with donors, MCF
board members and staff.
MCGrant recipients are Adopt A Family of Marin, Canal Alliance, Center for Domestic Peace, Community Action Marin, ExtraFood, Homeward Bound of Marin, Marin Asian Advocacy Project, Marin Center for Independent Living, Marin County Cooperation Team, Multicultural Center of Marin, Museum of the American Indian, North Marin Community Services, Operation Access, The Phoenix Project of Marin/Performing Stars, Ritter Center, RotaCare Bay Area, San Geronimo Valley Community Center, San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin, West Marin Community Services, West Marin Senior Services and Vivalon.
Those who attended enjoyed an opportunity to hear how each other’s work is going and share in
