BLOOM SEEKS YOUTH CLOTHES DONATIONS

Bloom, a program of YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, provides complimentary wardrobes to children, women and men who are transitioning to a life of self‐reliance. The program, which serves clients by referral from myriad social service agencies, is in desperate need of youth clothing sizes 5T and up. Low inventory can be a challenge for the volunteers and their clients.
“For example, each family we serve receives three pairs of pants per child. If a client with a large family visits us, it can wipe out our stock quickly making it harder to help the next family,” said Emily Elder, Bloom’s program coordinator.
Donations can be made on Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the back of Bloom’s retail store at 1557 Fourth St. in San Rafael.
To organize donations as a service project, contact Elder at eelder@yourywca.org. For more information,
