DERBY DAY CELEBRATION BENEFITS EQUESTRIAN CENTER

The inaugural Catholic Charities Kentucky Derby Day fundraiser supports the Kent Eagleson Equestrian Center at St. Vincent’s School for Boys.

The inaugural Catholic
Charities Kentucky Derby Day
celebration was held May 4 at
St. Vincent’s School for Boys in
San Rafael. The event included

a southern-style menu, a parade
of hats contest, raffle prizes
and a live viewing of the 2024
Kentucky Derby. Bay Area
radio and television personality
Sue Hall served as master of
ceremonies at the event.
Guests also had the opportunity
to meet Miss Marin,
Alyssa Vasquez. Music was
provided by Aaron Burnham
and the Brushfires.
Proceeds from the event
benefited the Catholic Charities
Kent Eagleson Equestrian
Center at St. Vincent’s School
for Boys. The event also
recognized the work of the
Godmothers of Catholic
Charities, who have supported
the school since 1995.
