The North Bay Children’s Center held a topping off ceremony for its new child development center in Novato on Sept. 12. The milestone marked
the completion of the building’s structural framework.

The nonprofit provides early childhood education and care services to an underserved community. The new center, located at 932 C St. in Novato will be a state-of-the-art campus designed to meet the evolving needs of infants, children and their families. It will feature classrooms, outdoor play areas and a variety of educational resources. The campus is named for Al and Lisa Brayton
of Thirty-Seven Wines and Brayton Purcell LLP, Giving Marin Partners.

NBCC is close to the final phase of construction and build-out of the new facility that will open
in March 2025. It will include eight classrooms, a commercial kitchen, an adult education classroom, an art therapy classroom, and gardens and natural playscapes throughout the campus.

“We are incredibly grateful for the community support that has made this project possible,” said Susan Gilmore, founder of North Bay Children’s Center. “Our new center will provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn, grow and thrive.”
