Marin Community Clinics celebrated the opening of its ninth clinic, this one at the Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus with a ribbon-cutting event on Oct. 9 in downtown San Rafael. The clinic, which anticipates approximately 7,900 patient visits a year, will serve the growing population of lowincome seniors with increased access. The clinic will also serve children, San Rafael’s homeless population and other patients in need of medical care. According to Marin Community Clinics, in 2030, one-third of Marin County’s population will be 60 years or older, resulting in a growing demand for health services. The new clinic location, opened in partnership with Vivalon and Eden Housing, is the final step in completion of the campus that integrates medical care, 100% affordable housing and social engagement for older residents, all under one roof.
