DrawBridge, a free expressive arts program for children at community centers, shelters and affordable housing sites across the Bay Area, announced that Evelisa Genova has joined the
organization as its executive director.
With a master’s degree in education from Harvard University and pioneering work across nonprofit leadership and the arts, Genova has dedicated her career to driving organizational transformation grounded in artistic and emotional intelligence principles.
“The impact DrawBridge has had in the Bay Area over 35 years is truly remarkable,” Genova said. “And the organization is in a great position to expand on that impact. Connecting children with creativity and community through the arts is needed now more than ever, and I am excited to continue this work.”
Most recently, Genova served as the national director of diversity, equity and inclusion for Scouts Canada, where she led a cultural strategy impacting more than 50,000 members. She’s also served as a management consultant for Fortune 500 companies and global non-governmental organizations.
“With her experience spanning both the nonprofit and corporate worlds, Evelisa is the ideal leader to guide DrawBridge into its next chapter,” said Wendi Gilbert, DrawBridge board president. “The board of directors is excited and honored to welcome her aboard.”
