The Rotary Club of Novato Sunrise is providing support to the Novato Historical Guild’s effort to relocate the Novato History Museum at 815 De Long Ave. to the historic Scott House at 917 Sherman Ave.
The effort aims to increase accessibility and visibility to the museum and allow for safe third-grade tours with interactive learning and exhibits, bringing history alive to the students. The new location, next to the Novato City Hall and City Green, Old Town Novato and the SMART train station, will be an integral part of the City Center for Novato.
The 11-member community service committee enthusiastically approved this special donation, as proposed by committee chair Sylvia Barry, to the new Novato History Museum to help bring the project to the finish line and become part of the history of Novato.
