Next Generation Scholars will present “Rising Up Together” April 26 at the Scholar House in San Rafael.

More than a fundraiser, Rising Up Together is planned as a celebration of the students, families and community members who make long-term educational success possible. Guests will experience how the organization supports first-generation students from elementary school through college, while partnering closely with families.

Proceeds from the gala will directly support Next Generation Scholars programs serving students across Marin County. Through its integrated model including academic support, leadership development, college counseling and family engagement NGS ensures that students are not only prepared for college, but equipped to navigate and succeed once they get there. Historically, 99% of NGS seniors have been accepted to four-year colleges, with 95% graduating within five years.

“Rising Up Together reflects what makes this community so powerful,” said Nghiem Bui, executive director of Next Generation Scholars. “Our students succeed because they are surrounded by families, educators and mentors who are deeply invested in their growth.”
