In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month in May, Asian American Alliance of Marin will host two free film screenings. “Chinatown Rising” will be presented Saturday, May 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. followed by a question and answer session with father-son filmmakers and community activists Harry and Joshua Chuck. This event is co-sponsored with Asian American Pacific Island Council of the North Bay.  “Standing Above The Clouds”  will be screened Friday, May 13 from 7-8 p.m. with a question session with filmmaker and social activist Jalena Keane-Lee, who will discuss the efforts of Hawaiian mother and daughter activists to protect the sacred mountain of Mauna Kea.
