GETTING ACTIVE FOR A CAUSE

On Saturday, May 12, Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center held its first annual Bocce Tournament at Marin Bocce Federation in San Rafael. Around 75 people attended,

Aprroximately 300 people passed through the gates at San Jose Middle School on May 19 and 20 for the Marin Relay for Life event that reached its goal and surpassed
$80,000 thanks to sponsors and supporters. Funds raised are used in Marin County for programs helping people with cancer. James Cooper (pictured) was crowned the winner of the

Swymnut Masters is a non-profit US Masters Swim team. They have a grant from the Swimming Saves Lives Foundation to help fund a free Adult Learn-to-Swim program in June. The Swymnut Masters team also helps fund the cost and the team members volunteer hundreds of hours of time to make this program successful. There are two sessions at the College of Marin Indian Valley Campus pool in Novato. Session 1 is from 6:30-7:15 p.m. and Session 2 is from 7:15-8:00 p.m. The dates are June 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, 29. There is space for 20 participants in each session and it will fill up quickly.
