Tribe Rising India, a Marin-based nonprofit that supports education programs and school construction projects in India, held a virtual fundraiser on Sept. 17 that brought in more than $85,000 and counting. The organization delivered 177 Indian-inspired meals created by Delicious! Catering in San Rafael to 86 homes in Marin and San Francisco. The evening also included an inspiring program, online auction and Fund-A-Need. The funds will help with the building of a fully-equipped high school for children from the Santal tribe. The new school will include the first ever girls’ dormitory. Pictured above are photos from the school’s village in India and the Zoom fundraiser. -Photos courtesy of Tribe Rising India
