The Rotary Club of Ignacio wired $10,000 to the Lviv International Rotary Club in Ukraine to help provide much needed medical supplies, medicine and services for residents and refugees. Part of a Marin and San Francisco regional partnership, Ignacio Rotary joins clubs in Poland and Germany to help the relief efforts with additional funding and equipment. Additionally, Rotary District 5150 has an International Disaster Fund and a ShelterBox initiative to provide temporary housing for refugees.
“This is just a small drop in the bucket,” said Rotary Club of Ignacio President-elect Michael Spalding. “As Rotarians locally and around the world, we look for solutions to global problems.”
